Is Sarah dropping hints in response to a certain Earthquake?
Today at the World Knowledge Forum in South Korea, the Governor said it was high time for the United States to have its first woman as president adding, “I look forward to that day.”
The AP is hopping all over it and although the Governor did not offer any clues regarding her political future, it’s quite a telling sign that it took one line to make headlines.
Proof that the Governor still has their full attention.
Update: Bloomberg News has some quotes from what she said in the ROK. Here is a sample:
The problem is those in power are all too often not aware of their own limitations. They fail to see the unintended consequences of their actions. Fortunately, there are solutions, there is real hope. You can trust freedom, not centralized government. You can trust individuals, not bureaucracies.
Update #2: The Wall Street Journal reports that the Governor said “[o]ur strength has everything to do with our ability to fund a strong military in order to be there–not nation-building but to be there outside our own borders in order to secure freedoms for others, protect their freedoms” and that she highlighted China’s behavior “in a multinational territorial dispute over the Spratly Islands as an example” of why a strong Chinese military presence isn’t necessarily good for the region.
