If you’re anything like me, you’ve been glued to the Internet/radio/television eagerly anticipating any news that would point to something hopeful. It can seem like a never-ending emotional roller coaster, with opinions on all side weighing in what the next step will be for Sarah Palin. Unfortunately, the majority of us can’t simply turn off our concern, and just wait to see because of the devotion we carry to our cause. We’ve become so focused on every day occurrences (i.e. interviews, blogs, etc), as if the election is tomorrow and time is running out. Now I understand that there are deadlines and important time frames that lie ahead. But I think some of us (myself included) have lost sight of the big picture as a whole. For the sake of encouraging my fellow Palinista friends, I’d like to share a new insight I discovered this week after completing Sarah’s 1st book on audio DVD. (I highly recommend purchasing it, by the way, because there is something truly powerfully to hearing her voice reading her own words!)

1) Sarah Palin never actively sought out a career in a political office.

As evident by her own words, she had many passions which included sports, journalism, and of course being a mother. She received a bachelor’s degree in communications, with an emphasis in journalism. Though we know now how important those subjects would play a role in her future, they do not demonstrate an active desire to pursue a political career. Sarah is such a unique individual to enter the political scene. With her bright personality and obvious sincerity, she brings a warmth to what is normally a very dull and staged atmosphere. That is why her charm is recognized by both sides, and also criticized by most “career politicians”. She doesn’t have a hidden agenda, nor a manipulative plan to increase her personal revenue, but simply desires to support her country’s success through the efforts of everyday Americans. Though willing to step up to the challenge of mayor, governor, vice president, etc…. it was definitely by the call of the people, not her own ambition!

2) Sarah Palin has always believed in her ability to affect positive change in any role, regardless of title.

Being raised in such a loving and hard-working family, Sarah learned early on the importance of her faith in God, and being an independent, free-thinking, self-sufficient individual. The Alaskan frontier provided wonderful opportunities for those who strived by their own perseverance to explore and develop it’s vast landscape. She grew up believing in the power of her own ability to make things happen, through diligence and willpower. It wasn’t based on the quantity of resources, connections, or financial aid, but rather on how hard you were willing to work and endure a variety of conditions. When given the opportunity to serve the people in a political role, she willingly accepted knowing how much she could accomplish for her state with the additional support. But she also understood the devotion it would take to overcome many challenges, such as taking on her own party, and exposing the corruption. Even when faced with the decision to continue on as governor in 2009, her choice to step down and back into the private sector was driven on her belief that “In America, anyone can make a difference!”  A title comes with responsibilities which can either promote or hinder your full potential. To have the complete freedom necessary to speak and act on your own convictions at will, you can’t allow the restraints of those guidelines with entrenched interests to control you. Sarah understands the kind of impact a Presidential role would have on helping her fellow citizens regain their country’s success. But I feel she believes in obtaining that title through her own hard word, perseverance, and we the people, rather than relying on the support of a structured political campaign or the establishment.

3) Sarah Palin has said the GOP holds the best “planks” upon which capitalism and conservatism can thrive.

Though there is much speculation as to whether the future will present us with an independent ticket to replace the faltering GOP, there is a tremendous amount of risk involved with such an idea. Not to say that anything is possible with God, but one must consider all consequences in such a decision. Like many, I was raised Republican for the simple fact that, well no one in my family was a Democrat. But as I have grown up, what each party stands for, and the values they represent have become so meaningful to me. I never had an interest in politics until an inspiring woman by the name of Sarah Palin came along, and encouraged my involvement in the political system. Sarah put it beautifully in the last chapter of her book “Going Rogue”. After reading such an intelligent description, I stand strong and proud, as I declare myself a Conservative. Since such a party doesn’t have widespread support, it remains most closely associated with the Republican party. Unfortunately, as we have seen in recent days, the desire for extreme wealth has brought undeniable corruption to both parties, and distorted the values they claim to stand for. This being said, I truly believe Sarah desires reform for the GOP, not it’ s demise. With Tea Party support, I believe it could be restored to a respectful force in the political environment. At the moment, it seems so far from reality when talk of which candidate will win the GOP primary does not represent true conservatism. But Sarah has mentioned several times on interviews lately the phrase “who will be the GOP candidate to face Obama”, and we can’t ignore the validity in her chosen words. The idea of an independent candidate would create another layer of disagreement which could interfere with the desired end result, electing a new President. Sarah is highly intelligent, and well aware of all these facts, so we must trust her lead.

Bottom line, we all need to take a step back and view the big picture. Timing will play an enormously crucial part in this process, and we mustn’t get discouraged on the length of time it takes to achieve our goal. Sarah is concerned the minute she announces her candidacy, all attention will be focused on destroying her and not on exposing the corruption of the opposition. So the longer she can prolong that event, the more she can catch the enemy off guard and achieve victory. Sarah feels very passionate about devoting her time and money towards helping other conservatives get elected to office, because without control of both the House and Senate, true reform in this country will be nearly impossible to accomplish. Therefore we need to focus our time and money on helping Sarah. This will enable her to campaign for others, while we campaign for her. After all she is a woman, and multitasking is our specialty!

I completely support the reconsider movement, but view it as more of an actual campaign for Sarah than just an attempt to inspire her announcement. I’m not that familiar with the different state’s rules for writing in a candidate’s name and such, but I’m sure her legal team is well versed in their parameters. If money is not something you are able to do at this time, then please join us in supporting Sarah Palin with prayer. She has said “I can feel the power of prayer, and that strength that is provided through our prayer warriors across this nation.” We have a special facebook page setup to welcome all who would like to join us in daily prayer for both her and her family. It is located at http://www.facebook.com/PrayforPalin The Lord told us in His Word we are to be “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” Romans 12:12

So please, let’s remain determined and focused on our cause, and reach out to others with encoruaging thoughts and opinions. There is such a peace in knowing she is a fellow sister in Christ, and her heart is completely surrendered to the will of God. Though she may not start off on the road we’d expect, she will follow wherever He may lead! In Sarah’s own words, the road to 2012 will be an unconcentional one. It will be filled with twists and turns that we must be willing to adapt to with an unrelentelless hope that one day we will stand together, and watch as these words flash across our screen – “Our 45th President of the United States of America – Sarah Palin!”
